I Can't Wait For This One!! W.o.W

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by Breaking the Spine,
that showcase upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

Today's Book:

Stitching Snow
Author: R.C. Lewis
Date of Release: October 14th, 2014

Princess Snow is missing.

Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back—but that’s assuming she wants to return at all.

Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines.

When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane’s arrival was far from accidental, and she’s pulled into the heart of a war she’s risked everything to avoid. With the galaxy’s future—and her own—in jeopardy, Essie must choose who to trust in a fiery fight for survival.

A Fairy Tale retelling about Snow White with a Sci-Fi twist.
Ummmmm....YES! Can I have it now please!!!

I have a good feeling about this book. It has the same elements that The Lunar Chronicles has and I love that series.

HURRY UP OCTOBER!!

Once Upon a Top Ten(ish) Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish that features a new topic each week where we have to put down our top ten of it.

Today's Topic: Top Ten Books If You Like X tv show/movie/comic/play etc. (basically any sort of other entertainment)

Top Ten-ish Books If You Like Fairy Tale Retellings

Fairy Tale Retellings have always been done but as soon as a little show called Once Upon A Time aired on ABC, it seems that the demand for retellings sky rocketed. Now we see books everywhere with some kind of adaptation of the classic fairy tales.
(click on any of the books to link you to Goodreads page)

* Snow White *

* Cinderella *

* Little Red Riding Hood *

Here are some books that have their own story but with hints of classic fairy tales throughout ~

There are even some out there, that are a bit twisted and naughty ;)

I really do love fairy tales being retold and tweaked. We all grew up loving the classics but it's nice to know that authors are out there flipping these stories around, finding new and improved ways to entertain us all.

There are a lot of hits and misses with Fairy Tale retellings but I enjoy reading them so I'll take the risk!!!

*Keep an eye out for these up and coming new fairy tale retellings:

What's your favorite Fairy Tale Retelling?
What Fairy Tale would you like to be retold? And if it's already been done, what would you do differently?

Library Books:

What's Next:

I just recently finished reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass so I will be posting a review sometime this week.
Also I have a couple of ARC's lined up and will have their reviews posted at the end of this week as well.

** Currently Reading:

For five centuries, a witch’s curse has bound the trolls to their city beneath the ruins of Forsaken Mountain. Time enough for their dark and nefarious magic to fade from human memory and into myth. But a prophesy has been spoken of a union with the power to set the trolls free, and when Cécile de Troyes is kidnapped and taken beneath the mountain, she learns there is far more to the myth of the trolls than she could have imagined.

Cécile has only one thing on her mind after she is brought to Trollus: escape. Only the trolls are clever, fast, and inhumanly strong. She will have to bide her time, wait for the perfect opportunity.

But something unexpected happens while she’s waiting – she begins to fall for the enigmatic troll prince to whom she has been bonded and married. She begins to make friends. And she begins to see that she may be the only hope for the half-bloods – part troll, part human creatures who are slaves to the full-blooded trolls. There is a rebellion brewing. And her prince, Tristan, the future king, is its secret leader.

As Cécile becomes involved in the intricate political games of Trollus, she becomes more than a farmer’s daughter. She becomes a princess, the hope of a people, and a witch with magic powerful enough to change Trollus forever.

Currently on page 68 out of 469~ This book starts of with a BOOM and Immediately whisks you away. I'm extremely engaged and super intrigued with the story.
Loving it so far....

Quote from the book: "The world spun and I jerked away from her grip. Behind me, a small group of trolls had silently gathered and they watched me stumble down the steps towards them. Not all of them were deformed, but they were monsters still, every one of them. And I was to wed one To be bedded by one. To bear its children. This wasn't how it was supposed to to. I was supposed to be on my way to Trianon to get everything I had ever wanted."

Looking forward to finishing my books and writing up reviews for you guys to read. Other than that, I'll be looking forward to this weeks bookish memes I usually participate in. First up:

Tomorrow~ Top Ten Tuesday
See y'all Then :)

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend and may the rest of your week be smooth sailing! Happy Monday!!

Meet My Furry Child on Today's Feature & Follow

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

TODAY'S QUESTION/TOPIC:

Have any pets? Tell us or show us

We sure do!! Josh and I got together in March of 2009 and got our dog in July of 2009. So our dog has been with us during our entire relationship. He has been with us through 2 room-mates, 2 cats, 2 pregnancies, bringing home babies and now growing up with babies.

I'd like to introduce to you, the one and only:

Ozzy Pawsbourne Bell

He has truly been a loyal, loving and laid-back friend. A part of our family forever! He is like one of our children, our first born, lol.
He's great at cuddling, he knows when your upset and he's there to lick your tears away!
Best Friend and family member we could of EVER imagined.
WE LOVE OUR DOGGIE!!!

If you can see in the last picture above, I was blowing bubble with my gum....YEA! Ozzy hates that! He always tries to eat them. Lol! :)

Lily and Ozzy waiting for Daddy to come home from work. It  was an every day thing!
Boy, were they happy and excited to see him pull up in the drive way and walk to the door.

Lily doesn't really do this anymore b/c she's to busy playing in her room but Ozzy sure as heck hasn't changed a bit.

STILL WAITS FOR DADDY! EVERYDAY!!!

Always celebrating holidays and birthday with our boy! He may not be so enthused, as you can see in the Easter bunny ears photo, but believe me, When he gets that huge ham bone....
LET THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN!!!
He is one happy dog!!

I hope you guys enjoyed the photos of our furry child.
He would say Hi but he's sleeping, as always! lol

I you guys want an awesome, lovable companion in your life, I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to rescue an animal from a shelter. There are plenty of animals with a kind soul and warm eyes that just want a nice home and someone to love.

Happy Friday to you and your furry friends.
Have a safe and lovely weekend Y'all!
Happy Reading
